Education

Overview

The Teacher Education Programme allows undergraduates to earn certification as a trained teacher during their time at the university, earning a Bachelor of Education, Master of Education or Doctor of Education Degree. This is a detailed academic pursuit consisting of several required subjects in teaching methodology, lesson planning, classroom management, education leadership amongst others. Students gain experience both through fieldwork in local public school classrooms and through project works aimed at researching the challenges facing teachers and education in general. Upon completing this programme, students can obtain a teaching license that enables them to be employed in public school systems across the country. Graduates have gone on to teach in public schools, private schools, and international schools. No matter where you find yourself, education graduates are inspired to make a difference in the lives of children in Ghana and around the world.
