What Is Full Fee-Paying in Ghanaian Universities?

Finance

Though public tertiary education tertiary universities in Ghana are less expensive, they come in two forms. There is the regular student and fee paying student.

Fee-paying Students

Fee-paying students will be charged the factual cost of their tuition fees in the public universities, which therefore makes their fees high.

Regular Students

Regular students on the other hand, have their tuition fees subsidised by the government so that they don't pay tuition but still pay fees to cover other expenses.

Key Difference

Whereas fee-paying students must simply meet the relaxed minimum requirement to study a programme, regular students would have to meet stringent cut-off point before they are admitted to study a particular programme.
