Engineering

Overview

Engineering touches everyone's lives in so many ways. When you take an elevator, get in a car, make a phone call or send an email, you are experiencing just a tiny fraction of the work engineers are responsible for. The opportunities in engineering are virtually limitless, allowing you to pursue a career in almost any field, in any industry, in any location around the world. This program is designed for students who are interest in a rigorous learning experience in engineering and pure sciences. This program introduces the basic areas of engineering and represents the bridge between the basic sciences and mathematics on which students build and the more advanced engineering applications and engineering design to which they lead. The emphasis on fundamentals is intended to prepare students for dealing with the rapid pace of technological change and the interdisciplinary demands of engineering practice. It also provides students with a balanced perspective of realities and limitations required for practical problem solving.
